Set up your bar near a sink and bin plus find a container for ice
You always need more ice than you think – so get more!!
Prepare drinks on a tea towel to minimise mess
If you don't have a measure then use an egg cup or measuring jug; just keep the shot proportions the same.
If you want to impress, garnish your drinks using some of the core (non-alcoholic) ingredients of the drink such as fruit

Strong pint glass (to replace mixing glass)
Large Jam Jar/Any large jar with a lid (to replace a shaker)
A measure for spirits (bottle cap, egg cup etc.) A "part" is 25ml or 1oz.

Chopping board
Rolling Pin (to replace a muddler)
Strainer/Sieve
Sugar Syrup. Make this yourself. Dissolve 2 parts sugar to one part boiling water. Just use a cup or a mug to measure out the parts. You can also buy this from good retailers as "Syrup de Gomme"
